HOW PREPARED DO I NEED TO BE?

If you have questions about your portrait session or are not familiar Fine Art Portrait Photography - just ask! Take a few minutes to browse through our Galleries and Pages for clothing tips and ides or give us call. The more information you can provide us about your wants and needs, the better we will be able to serve you. Each session is custom designed for you to be sure we get the kinds of photographs you like. Don't be afraid to bring ideas from magazines, catalogs or other websites that appeal to you. This gives us a better idea of what you like and will help make your session more personal.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get here- you won't want to be rushed. Plan on arriving about 10-15 min. before your scheduled session time so that you can get everything unloaded, check in, fill out some quick paperwork, and get situated in the dressing room. We have the utmost respect for all our clients' time and do everything possible to start and end sessions on schedule. Being late for your appointment time will only result in a shorter amount of time spent creating your photographs. If for any reason you anticipate being more than 15 min. late, please call to re-schedule your appointment (a $10 re-scheduling fee may apply). Thank you for your cooperation and consideration!

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS DURING MY PORTRAIT APPOINTMENT TIME?

If you plan to have some outdoor poses, but it looks like rain, NO PROBLEM! Some of the outdoor posing areas are sheltered from the weather, so you won't get wet. Also, Texas Showers often come and go quickly; it might be raining where you are, but sunny here at the studio. If the weather becomes a problem, KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME or give us a call.

We will perform all indoor poses during your standing appointment time and re-schedule you for a short outdoor session another day if needed.

CLOUDY-DAY MISCONCEPTION

If you see that it is a bit cloudy on the day of your portrait session and not perfectly sunny - that's okay! We actually prefer to have a little cloud cover. Clear, sunny skies and bright sunlight cause heavy shadows and squinty eyes. It also limits the outdoor areas that we can use due to "patchy" hot spots through the trees and leaves, which cause hot spots on your face and clothing. Cloudy skies resemble a giant "soft" light source that is very flattering.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Yes! We have photographed almost every type of pet you can imagine. However, some of our other clients may not be as comfortable with your pet. So, as a courtesy, we ask that you bring a leash or pet carrier as needed and/or bring a friend with you that will be responsible for the pet when not being photographed. We also ask that you clean up after any "accidents" and shedding.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANY MONEY?

Because your session fee was PREPAID, with a credit card, when you called to reserve your appointment time, you do not need to bring any money to your session. However, if you are paying for your session by check, it MUST be received within 2 to 3 business days after calling and booking the appointment. If we haven't heard from you within that time period, your session time will be given to someone else. Saturday appointments are the most popular and book weeks or months in advance. We often have a waiting list for popular dates. If you see, in advance, that you will not be able to make your allotted appointment time, please call to reschedule, so that we may offer your time to another client. Saturday appointments may reschedule only ONE time if available. NO SHOWS will forfeit all session fees paid.
